...but I couldn't say the same for the Port Talbot steel works!
It was only just possible to see the world famous works through the mist and driving rain of Saturday morning. Luckily, there was enough work to keep us busy, and relatively warm. After 20 minutes S.W.A.G. (South Wales Action Group) were soaked to the skin, but on a day like that, there was nothing else to do!
Although we didn't climb on the crag, it looks good and will be on my list of esoteric local venues to visit when I return. During my initial foray before anyone had arrived, I found it impossible to get to the crag through ten foot high, man eating gorse. Luckily, the introduction of Craig Ackery's petrol driven hedge trimmer soon laid waste to all that!
As a result of our efforts on the day, it is now possible to get to the crag without losing your outer layer of skin...a job well done!
Watch this space for the next event.
