Harrison's Rocks Outdoor Meet cancelled

The propsed BMC's London & SE Area outdoor meet at Harrison's Rocks on 21st and 22nd of April has been cancelled due to the rainy weather. Apologies for that.

Now cancelled
Volunteers will be on hand to show first time visitors around, and we'll be providing organisational skills to oil the machine of a spring climbing meet.

You'll need to bring your own equipment: Harrison's is a top-rope venue, so you need a couple of long slings, some screwgate carabiners, and a rope as well as the usual harness, belay device, shoes, chalk, brains & technique needs!

Note that we can't provide equipment or instruction for total novices, although we can probably dispense some informal words of wisdom if required. :-)

Following the removal of the loose boulder, previously used to step across from the mainland to the Isolated Buttress at Harrison’s Rocks, climbers, the Harrisons Rocks Management Group (HRMG) and BMC have been deliberating about the best course of action for future access to the pinnacle.
