Mend Our Mountains: Get Stuck in Days
BMC volunteer Steve Charles spearheaded the 'Get Stuck In' program, running six multi-day volunteering events in 2023: three in Eryri and three in the Lake District. On top of this, Steve coordinated four single-day events in the Peak District, focused on clearing invasive rhododendron.

It's true that the outdoors is free, but is it equal? In May the BMC published new research which drew a direct correlation between earnings and ability to get outiside.

Everest at 70: Tales from Basecamp
The BMC held Everest 70: Tales From Basecamp to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first ascent of the world's most celebrated mountain. Hosted by Niall Grimes and surrounded by Nepali-inspired art, the audience joined us in looking back at that first ascent and heard modern stories told against the backdrop of ancient conquest.

Toby Roberts Qualifies for Paris 2024 with Laval win
This historic victory saw Roberts secure the first male Olympic quote place for Great Britain. Roberts will be the second GB athlete to compete in the climbing competition at the Olympics following Shauna Coxsey who placed 10th at Tokyo 2020.

Women in Adventure Film Competition completes 8th Year
