From Iran to Italy, the UIAA Global Youth Summit events offer something unique for all young climbers, walkers and mountaineers.

This summer a host of UIAA federated mountaineering bodies will be providing events across Europe and Asia for young people.

The Global Youth Summit (GYS) series of UIAA youth events are where young mountaineers from around the world come together to climb, promote peace and cooperation between countries and work on the protection of the environment.

Each event is organised by the UIAA federated mountaineering body of the host country. The annual BMC International Meet has allowed young climbers from around the world to get a taste of British trad climbing.

You could climb Iran's Mt Damavand, at 5671m, Asia's highest volcano, or visit the sleepy Ariège for trekking and rock climbing. Whatever your aspirations, there is something for you.

With summer approaching, the closing date to apply for some GYS events is not far away, so book soon!
