Following the success of last year’s events Wild Country are pleased to announce that they have again joined forces with the Wideboyz, Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker, to present another series of Crack School Masterclasses across the UK this spring.
Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker shot to fame in 2011 after their ascent of the world’s hardest offwidth, Century Crack, E10/8c, in Utah's Canyonlands. Captured in the award-winning ‘Wideboyz’ movie Tom and Pete won plenty of admirers for their efforts. This time the Wideboyz’ objective may be a bit safer, but is an equally skilful task, which is to pass on their knowledge in a series of exclusive Crack School Masterclasses run by Wild Country at some of the UK’s best climbing walls.
Each Crack School Masterclass will take place on specially designed finger, hand and offwidth cracks and the aim is to enable climbers of all abilities to get involved and to unlock the secrets of crack climbing direct from the Wideboyz.
How It Works
Each Crack School Masterclass costs £20 per person with a maximum of 8 people per class and there will be six masterclasses per day making a total of 48 spaces at each event. The minimum age is 10 years.
What the Crack School Masterclass fee covers:
1. 1.5 hour masterclass with Tom Randall or Pete Whittaker.
2. Free Wild Country T shirt worth £25.
3. Free Wideboys 2 DVD from ‘Hotaches’ worth £20.
4. Free entry to the wall.
5. Free Wild Country posters and stickers.
6. Free entry to Wild Country's ‘Friends competition’.
To book your place on one of these amazing days, check the dates below and just contact the wall nearest to you. Spaces are strictly limited and are on a first come first served basis.
