Rope Race: new bouldering room

Posted by Rob Adie on 13/12/2010

Shapes, angles, overhangs or just the good company you want, check out The Bouldering Lounge, Stockport’s newest bouldering room.

The Bouldering Lounge is based at the Rope Race Climbing Centre. This massive new space boasts over 500 square meters of plywood walls, which are still expanding. There will be in excess of 200 problems in Font style circuits, set by some of the country’s best boulderers.

As you enter The Bouldering Lounge you are met by an enormous 50° woody, over 5 meters long and 5.5 meters wide, this awesome overhang transforms into to an arch, making space for some fierce problems. The next piece of the wall to open will be the 6 meter roof this will have some of the most savage problems around.
