Peak Fee Reductions for Pakistan 2007

The BMC has received notification from the Alpine Club of Pakistan that peak fees for 2007 will be reduced. Full details of the notification are below.

From Alpine Club of Pakistan:

The following reduction in royalty fees have been announced by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Pakistan, vide notification No.1(1)2002-OP dated September 5, 2006 for Mountaineering and Trekking in Pakistan: -

  • Zero royalty fee for Peaks up to 6500-M during the year 2007.
  • 10% royalty fee on mountains situated in Chitral, Gilgit, and Ghizer except on Spantik/Golden Peak. 
  • 05% royalty fee on all Peaks during winter season (December-February).
  • 50% discount on royalty fee will continue during the year 2007 on all peaks except as mentioned in (i) and (ii) above.
