How not to call out Mountain Rescue

Posted by Tony Ryan on 25/10/2010

The second edition of Mountain Rescue England and Wales’ pocket guide to safety on the hill has just been published.

New for this edition is the first aid section packed with valuable advice for the non-medically trained.

The guide also provides advice on taking care in the mountains; what to take, how to stay safe, and what to do in case of emergency. In addition there are chapters on mountain weather, protecting the countryside, and the history of mountain rescue.

Follow the advice in Call Out Mountain Rescue? and you’ll stand a better chance of not becoming a mountain rescue statistic!

Call Out Mountain Rescue? is now available to purchase from the BMC online shop or call the Membership Services Team on 0161 445 6111 to order.

BMC Member price: £9.00
Non-member price: £9.99
