The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust, which gives grants that allow disadvantaged young people to take up opportunities to experience the great outdoors, now has a website.
The Trust was set up in was set up in memory of Andy Fanshawe, one of Britain’s leading mountaineers at the time of his death in 1992. Andy was the BMC National Officer from 1986 to 1989.
The Trust usually supports programmes run by schools or youth groups, mostly within the UK, and prefers to fund those that offer a continuing opportunity for young people to deepen their experience of the outdoors.
