GB Climbing announces the full IFSC season line-up for 2023.
The GB Climbing Team is gearing up for an exciting, high-stakes competition period as our athletes prepare to compete in the 2023 season. With qualifications for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at stake, the season begins this weekend (April 8-9) with the first European Continental Cup in Chambery, France.
This is followed by the first World Cup for Boulder in Hachioji, Japan from April 21-23 with Junior athletes flying out to Soure, Portugal to compete at the European Youth Cup for Boulder the same weekend.
The team's roster includes a mix of seasoned athletes and breakthrough talent, all poised to make their mark in the climbing world.
With qualifications for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on the line, and developing talent for the LA 2028 Olympic Games, the stakes are higher than ever for the GB Climbing Team.
Lorraine Brown, Head of Performance GB Climbing, said: “We are incredibly excited for the IFSC season ahead and the opportunities it presents for our athletes.
“We have an amazing group of individuals who have shown exceptional skills and determination throughout pre-season. The blend of seasoned athletes will be building on previous years’ successes, and a group of young athletes competing in their first senior season will continue to push the standards achieved by GB climbers.”

“The Olympic qualifications add an extra level of excitement to the competitions, and our team is fully committed to showcasing its skills and pushing for top performances.”
