The Jonathan Conville Memorial Trust (JCMT) offers heavily subsidised mountaineering courses for young people both in Scotland and France each year.
This next financial year offers some challenges for JCMT given the current economic climate. They are however committed to continuing with their aim of providing quality mountain training for young people. Earlier this year the Conville sisters held another Charity Day to raise much needed funds. The money raised went towards creating a new JCMT website
If any past students would like to fundraise for the Trust as a way of giving the charity something back then please do contact Jonathan’s sister, Melissa Kay on 01794 884118. Melissa can give you some great fundraising ideas.
The BMC has played their part in supporting JCMT by donating £3000 to them each year for the past several years. Next year the BMC will again donate £3000 to the Trust.
