The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena: Ratho (EICA), the world’s largest indoor climbing arena, re-opened fully at the weekend, after being partially open from February.

Following a £6 million overhaul, the arena now boasts three climbing walls with over 200 routes, a dedicated bouldering room and the world’s largest aerial assault course.

General manager Graeme Gardiner, said: “The EICA: Ratho is a fantastic venue which will really help develop the future talent of Scottish climbing as well as offering a fantastic resource for seasoned climbers from through out the world. We have already secured the booking for the final of the British Regional Youth Climbing Series and look forward to attracting more events of all kinds to the arena.”
