The British Paraclimbing Series concludes with Round 4 on Saturday 19 November at Awesome Walls Stockport
For Round 4 of the Series, we are heading to Awesome Walls Stockport .

Categories: RP1, RP2, RP3, B1, B2, B3, AU, AL and Open
Each category will face two qualifying routes and a final route.
Entry
Registration opens at 8am 3 October 2022 and closes at Midday on 31 October 2022
All categories £35
All competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by one parent/guardian only, but loco parentis can be used where required. If a parent/guardian, spectator or coach volunteers to assist in the running of the competition on the day, this will be in addition to the accompanying adult.
Late entries will not be accepted.
To enter you must complete our online booking form, with successful payment, by the entry deadline. Forms without payment will NOT be accepted.
All competitors MUST be a current member of the BMC, Mountaineering Scotland or Mountaineering Ireland to enter.
Format
There are two qualification routes per category, there will be no isolation for these routes. The starting order for the first qualifying route is random. Then the starting order for the second qualifier is the same as the first but staggered halfway. E.g. If there are 20 competitors in the category, number 11 will climb first on the second qualifier.
As per the international standard, route Demonstration videos will be available up to 1 hour prior to qualification beginning.
For the finals, all finalists will be held in an isolation zone. There will be a six minute observation of the final route, and then the finals are climbed on-sight.

Event Details
Early Registration is open to all categories on Friday 18 November 2022 from 4-8pm,
Warm up is available from 9am on Saturday.
A drop off zone will be created at the rear of the building for those who require access to the lift. This will be signposted on the day. Parking spaces will also be reserved at the front of the wall, but those requiring a lift need to enter the centre via the rear entrance.
A quiet room will be made available on the day for those who might require a quiet space- please note it is accessed via stairs, and we are looking into provisions to make this fully accessible.
Tea and coffee facilities will be made available in the climbing arena.
A fully accessible toilet is available on the same level as the climbing.

Awesome Walls Stockport is a 10 minute journey from Stockport Train Station, it is a 32 minute walk and there are buses every 10 minutes from Heaton Lane, the 325 and 327 travel along Stockport Road West, where the centre is located.

Registration: Saturday 19 November, 09:00am -10:00am
Qualification: 10:30am- Q2 will start straight after Q1 ends as long as 50mins rest period for climber 1 on Q2 has lapsed.
Isolation Opens: 16:00 and closes 17:00
Finals start at 17:30

Those wishing to be considered for the Paraclimbing team, should complete the following Medical form for Classification purposes. Please use the relevant IFSC form found via this link
Medical forms must be submitted by no later than 5pm on Monday 26 September to Zoe@thebmc.co.uk

Classification will take place on Friday 18 November from 10am onwards- exact schedule TBC
Please note, classification will be an indication only, of whether you are eligible under the IFSC Classification Rules and is not a confirmed status. Anyone joining the team will need to undergo International Classification at the first International event.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel with less than five business days of the competition - you will not be entitled to a refund.
If you cancel more than five business days before the competition - you will receive a 50% refund of the cancelled round/s.
If a competition is cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance - you will be entitled to a full refund.
