After a long break and following on from the success of the British Bouldering Championships, the British Lead and Paraclimbing Championships returned this weekend!

Saturday saw over 100 Youth competitors, including some international guests from Ireland, the Netherlands and Poland, descend on the Westway Climbing Centre in London, to battle it out to be crowned British Lead Climbing Champion.

With routes set by our National Route setting team, Gavin Symonds, Ben West, Andy Long, Max Ayrton and Mikey Cleverdon, led by Chief Yann Genoux, the stage was set.

The future of British Climbing is looking very bright, with some strong performances across all categories.

On Sunday it was the turn of the Seniors and Paraclimbers to test themselves against the delights that the setting team had created. Over 50 Seniors and over 20 Paraclimbers battled it out to be crowned British Champions.
