The final round of the IFSC Bouldering World Cup took place in Eindhoven on the 12th and 13th June. 11 members of the British Bouldering Team took part.
The event saw some impressive performances from the team. Both Ned Fehally, the current Male British Bouldering Champion, and Diane Merrick made it through the qualifying round on Friday to Saturday’s semi-finals. Diane finished a very credible 15th in the Women’s event and Ned qualified for the Men’s final on Saturday evening.
After an exciting final Ned finished in 6th place. It’s great to see younger members of the Bouldering team starting to fulfil their potential on the international circuit.
Other impressive performances came from Dave Barrans who finished 25th, Stew Watson 27th, Leah Crane 25th and Mina Leslie-Wujastyk 27th. A number of squad members also participated and gained valuable international competition experience including:

There have been plenty of impressive perfomances from the Bouldering Team throughout this competition season, most notably at the third round of the World Cup in Vienna, Austria, where 6 members of the team competed.
Dave Barrans and Stewart Watson made it through to the semi-finals, both climbed excellently with Stewart finishing in 8th place, however Dave qualified for the final in 1st place! He finished the compettition in 6th place, due to a shoulder injury sustained in the semis. See the final placings below.

With all the scores for the IFSC Bouldering World Cup totted up for the season, the British Team finished 11th overall, with Dave Barrans finishing 21st overall, and Stewart Watson and Ned Feehally finishing 26 and 27 respectively. Diane Merrick has also had an excellent season finishing the World Cup in 29th place.
