The three members of "Japan's 100-Mountain Trek" - Tom Fearnehough (26), Paul Briffa (23), and Ben Davies (22) - have now completed over half of their 4000 mile, 100-mountain trek, having hiked over 2200 miles and climbed 55 peaks.
The team aim to be the first to climb all of Japan's 100 famous mountains (Hyakumeizan) without using transport to climb or get between the mountains. The purpose of the trek is to raise money and awareness for the charity “Adopt-A-Minefield”, a charity that works to clear minefields in Cambodia, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Mozambique. To date the team has raised approximately half of the £20,000 they aim to raise. To find out more check their website: www.japanesemountaintrek.org.uk.
