  2. Download whichever challenge page you want below and get people to sponsor you.
  3. Make a team (or go solo). The challenges are meant to be done in teams, the smaller the team, the harder the challenge!

The BMC challenge ideas can be done in a variety of ways at which ever level you feel most comfortable: do them on a bouldering, roped or traverse wall, or they can also be done outside by an enchainment of routes or boulder problems for more experienced climbers.

12. Lindley EducationTrust- Ashton Youth Club

Ayc is based in one of most deprived localities in the UK . There are huge issues around poverty, anti-social behaviour ,crime and low income jobs. Every week AYC works with over 200 young people delivering a range of sports, youth clubs and outdoor activities. In October 2020 we will be taking a group of local young women from BAME backgrounds on an expedition to Everest Base Camp. People from this community don't often get opportunities like this- so it will quite literally be a 'once in a life time'. This expedition will break down many religious and cultural stereotypes and barriers that these women often face and will broaden horizons and perspectives. It will provide the wider community with some great role models and empower other women to get out, be healthier, challenge ideas and create higher expectations for themselves. This expedition will empower local BAME women to break down the norms of their society and push pass boundaries they would have otherwise thought impossible. We will help them gain the skills and confidence to break the cycle of low aspiration and help them achieve their potential in life.

13. Climb LBG

Climb LBG is a Guernsey based charity that provides climbing, hill walking and mountaineering activities to those who would not otherwise be able to access them due to financial, physical or aspirational barriers. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience these activities and to benefit from the positive impact they can have on physical, social and emotional well-being.  We support and encourage participation of underrepresented groups. Climb LBG provides instructors and equipment to run the activities which are tailored to meet the needs of the client at any given time. We currently run indoor and outdoor climbing sessions and are able to provide the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (‘NICAS’). We are funded by grants and public donations and are a member organisation of the Youth Commission.
