Want to know what we achieved in 2015? Our annual report presents some of the highlights of the working year in an easy-to-digest format sprinkled with facts and figures.

We’ve reduced the size and scope of the report this year, while still giving an overview of the exceptionally wide range of work undertaken on behalf of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers.

Did you know that:

  • 29,000 people follow us on Twitter;
  • £24,000 was raised for the people of Nepal by the BMC Nepal Charity Auction;
  • 1,400 mountaineers attended our series of lectures on alpine and winter skills;
  • 1,100 trad routes and 1,400 sport climbs are documented in the Peak Limestone North guidebook;
  • 800 climbers competed in the BMC Youth Climbing Series;
  • 150 volunteers helped out at crag clean-ups;
  • 104 people attended club member training courses; and
  • 21 walkers attended the BMC Peak Area Hill Walking Day
