The ballot for tickets to Women's Trad Festival 2021 is now open. Back for the summer, the extremely popular festival will be held on 6-8th August in the Peak District - save the date!
Aside from encouraging inclusivity and participation for everyone, the Womne's Trad Festival has gained a strong reputation for it's great efforts in being a sustainable and accessible festival. We're proud to be supporting the festival, especially as its core values resonate greatly with the interests of our members and the work of the BMC.
The ticket ballot closes on Sunday 16th May when tickets will randomly be allocated to those who enter. There are a number of bursaries available if financial support would aid you in attending the festival. Head to the Women's Trad Festival website to find out more about what the event is about.
Ticket types
Learners have the opportunity to develop a range of skills, tailored to your previous experience. These tickets are aimed at a range of abilities, from those who have never climbed before, to women who may even have some trad experience but want to build confidence.
This ticket is for you if you fit any of the following:
You’ve never climbed before.
You’ve climbed indoors and want to try climbing outdoors on rock.
You have sport climbing experience and would like to try trad.
You have trad climbing experience but are not a confident leading and wish to build your skills and confidence.
Leader applications for WTF2021 are now open aswell. To apply to be a leader at the festival, you will need to have your SPA, RCI or higher.
There will be four workshops running this year. These are for climbers who already have some experience, allowing them to gain valuable new skills over the course of the weekend.
This is an opportunity for a parent to attend the festival with their child or children, aged 8 to 18 years old. This workshop is aimed at getting you and your children climbing, both at the weekend and also equipping you with the skills to climb together afterwards.
If you can see it, you can be it. With the festival cancelled last year due to covid, the WTF team launched the Climbers Like Me Series to shine a light on the diverse voices within the climbing community. Check it out !
