Peak Climbing Club
A family friendly day of outdoor fun, with the priority being on women climbing whilst the kids are entertained by the men! Climbing, walking, a barbecue and a scavenger trail for the kids.
Often women give up or significantly reduce their participation in outdoor activities when they have children, whilst men seem to be less affected. This is opportunity for women, and for non-climbing partners of climbers, to meet likeminded women. If you haven’t climbed before, or haven’t climbed in a while, you can have a go in a friendly environment. If bringing children, you need to ensure there's another parent or adult to act in loco parentis . There is a pond in the quarry, however, there is also plenty of space for kids to run around and play games well away from the water.
Sunday 7 August, 10am-4pm, Lawrencefield Quarry (park at Surprise View carpark , bank card required for the pay & display), Come and go as you please, but the walk will set off at around 11am.
£2 per adult, £1 per child, pay in cash on the day. Wet weather alternative TBC.
Please contact Becky Hammond rebecca.j.e.hammond@gmail.com 07901 813175 or Greg Bristol gregnlyns@googlemail.com 07967 607158 in advance.
