Stoney Café reopens

Posted by on 18/06/2003

Great news for all of us that pass longingly by that fading white “CAFÉ” sign on the way back from the crag, desperate for a chip butty and a pint of tea. The white sign has gone, and the café is in business again.

The Lovers Leap café is open Friday, Saturday (8am-5.30pm) and Sunday (9am-6pm) for the necessaries – breakfasts, butties, chips and cakes, and will no doubt be fuelling a major climbing revival at Stoney. Those of you with more demanding tastebuds can visit on the same days in the evening (7pm-midnight), when the caff turns into a licensed bistro and offers such delights as Tempura vegetables, Rib-eye steaks and Pan-fried calves liver. Veggie options and desserts are the icing on the cake (metaphorically), so get yourself down there.
