The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of practitioners' attitudes and understanding and attitudes of working with individuals with disabilities in the outdoors in the UK. Please only fill this questionnaire in if you work in the Uk.
Do I have to take part? Participation in this study is voluntary. You do not have to become involved nor do you have to give any explanation for choosing not to participate. Should you choose to participate in the study, you are free to terminate your participation at any point without having to give an explanation and with no consequences to yourself or adverse effects on your rights. However, once you have completed the questionnaire the data cannot be removed, unless you can recall all your answers, as the data is all anonymous.
Participation in the study will involve the completion of a questionnaire, which experiences your personal understanding and attitudes toward leading individuals with disabilities in the outdoors. The questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Will my taking part in the study be kept confidential? In order to ensure confidentiality, all data from the questionnaires will be remaining anonymous. Hard copies of the complete questionnaires will be stored in a secure system that is only accessible to the researcher. When written up for report data will either be summarised collectively, whereby quotes may be used. Where appropriate when verbatim quotes are used, individual participants will be referred to using a pseudonym.
Are there any risks involved? No, and this research has been approved by Liverpool John Moores University Ethics procedures.
