Rescues in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean

The fire brigade is now responsible for cliff rescues in the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean

SARA are no longer active in cliff rescue in the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. Any such rescues are now undertaken by the Fire service. The police have not said whether there are any alternative arrangements, but extra care in this area is advisable on the potential fire fighters strike days!
