The BMC’s North West Area has a new team and is on the lookout for keen people with a range of skills to help create a vibrant feel to the local area.
The North West Area is home to the BMC office and covers Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. With a new area chair and supporting roles, the refreshed team is looking for people with a range of experience and skills in:
Social media communication
Marketing
Newsletter / graphic design
Knowledge of clubs
Crag access
Hill walking
The roles will involve working in a team supporting climbers, mountaineers and hill walkers in the North West, organising and promoting local activities and events, and enabling members' views to be heard at national level. Perhaps you've been involved before, or maybe have other skills not outlined here and would like to help but aren't quite sure where you might fit in. For a friendly, informal chat contact bmcnwchair@gmail.com in the first instance – we would love to hear from you.
The next gathering of the North West is at a new venue – Sedgley Park Rugby Club, Park Lane, Whitefield, Manchester, M45 7DZ – on the evening of Tuesday 29 January. Food at 7pm followed by engaging discussion, a brilliant guest speaker and a chance to meet others from the local area. Hope to see you there.
