Some important changes to the annual agreed climbing restrictions as advertised on the BMC poster and RAD at
Great Orme, Clwyd Limestone and Tremadog.
-
Castell y Gwynt Protected birds are nesting at this cliff and the whole cliff is restricted until the end of July (may be lifted sooner if the birds successfully fledge earlier)
-
Upper Pen Trwyn The annual safety restriction on climbing above the Marine Drive before 6pm (all of Upper Pen Trwyn, excluding Parisellas and the Mumbo-Jumbo areas), on Bank Holiday weekends and school summer holidays is now fully in place.
-
Craig Arthur (Clwyd Limestone) - restriction lifted as the birds failed to breed there.
-
Dinbren. Restriction due to nesting ravens to be lifted after May 3rd.
-
Tremadog Owls believed to be nesting on Creagh Dhu Wall and Oakover - while there is no formal restriction on climbing these routes, be aware that your prescence may disturb these birds and tread carefully and sensitively, avoiding spending too much time on these routes.
Remember to check the BMC RAD for the most up to date crag access information.
