Torridon & Fisherfield is the twelfth map in the award-winning British Mountain Map series, and covers such magnificent summits as An Teallach, Beinn Eighe and Liathach.
This region of the west coast of Scotland is renowned for its dramatic mountain scenery. The giants of Torridon and the remote hills of Fisherfield are a walkers’ paradise. Within the area covered by the map are 18 Munros and 12 Corbetts.
British Mountain Maps are published by Harvey Maps in conjunction with the BMC, and are designed especially for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers. The 1:40,000 scale maps use contour colour shading for easy identification of hills and valleys, and are printed on polyethylene, making them lightweight, tear-resistant and waterproof.
The reverse side of each map contains mountain incident and first aid advice, navigation tips, useful visitor information, and geological information provided by the British Geological Survey. The reverse of the Torridon map also includes 1:15,000 scale summit maps of Beinn Alligin, An Teallach, Beinn Eighe and Liathach.
"Harvey British Mountain Maps are a joy to use. The detail and accuracy make them my first choice when I am researching a route or out on the hills for fun."
Peter Macfarlane, outdoor writer and photographer
