The year's last IFSC European Youth Cup took place in Kranj, Slovenia at the weekend. The GB Climbing Team were there for a great end to the year, including a second place for Molly Thompson-Smith. She is now third in the world in her age category.
It was Molly's last competition in the Youth B category (for climbers aged 14-15) and she finished in second place. This, along with several other fantastic results over this season, means that she has finished the season fourth overall in the IFSC European Youth Cup, and she is now ranked third in the world.
Next year she will move up to Youth A where, hopefully, she will do just as well.
Jonathan Stocking also made the finals on Sunday, finishing his last competition as a Junior in tenth place.
The rest of the team also did well with Tara Hayes, William Bosi, Peter Dawson, Connor Byrne, Luke Tilley and Buster Martin narrowly missing out on top ten positions.
Full results can be seen here.
A full report can be read on the teams website here.
