All BMC overseas policies are backed by a 24-hour medical assistance helpline to
put you in touch with expert assistance when you need it most. Experienced assistance
co-ordinators will deal with your call and co-ordinate local support in the country
you have visited.

Heading to a remote area?
Rescue from remote areas will be helped if you have left details of your itinerary
and insurance with a responsible contact at home. In the event of an emergency in
areas where no formal mountain rescue exists, these details should be sent to the
British High Commission or Embassy – in case a military helicopter is required.
