The Lord Greaves Award for voluntary contribution to BMC Access and Conservation work, recognises those who have worked tirelessly to promote access to and protection for the countryside we all love.
Following the death of BMC Patron, Lord Tony Greaves in March 2021, President at the time Lynn Robinson proposed a new volunteer award, the Lord Greaves Award for Voluntary Contribution to BMC Access and Conservation work. As Lord Greaves was instrumental in securing the passage of the Countryside and Rights of Way Bill through Parliament, this award serves as a lasting legacy for all the access work he did on behalf of the BMC.
