This has been a great effort by those involved and will undoubtedly provide a great resource for new and existing winter climbers in the Lakes.
Thanks to the Fell and Rock Climbing Club, the Lake District National Park Authority, the National Trust and Natural England for their support on this project. Thanks should also go to the group of climbers involved who represented both sides of a contentious issue, but worked together to come up with a well thought out solution. By following the guidelines in this booklet, you will be treading lightly in one of England’s most spectacular landscapes.
Fingers crossed for a cold snap and some proper winter conditions in the Lakes now!
