Ever thought about joining the GB Climbing teams but don't know how to get there?
Information regarding the 2024 selection which includes England Regional Talent Squads, England National Talent Squad, and GB Teams, as well as the 2023 selection information, is outlined below.
With the 2023 selection processes already underway, GB Climbing is also developing the selection processes and timelines for 2024. The proposed processes will go through several stages before reaching the final selection frameworks and strategies.
Here's an update on the current proposed timelines:
17 March 24th March Selection Principles and draft outlines of strategies will be published
20 March 24th March to 21 April - Selection working group
17 March 24th March to 14 April - Public consultation period
17 April - Selection Principles and consultation feedback will be submitted to the CCPG.
6 May - final documents will be ratified by the BMC Board and CCPG.
It is important for athletes to take note of the following upcoming 2023 BMC Domestic Competitions that will form part of the 2024 selection processes:
*English Boulder Cup and Irish Boulder Cup have taken place but will be included.
Athletes are encouraged to participate actively in these competitions. For further event details please see the Domestic calendar on the BMC website and all competitions are listed on the events section of the GB Climbing website.
