Brits do well at Arco Rock Junior

Posted by Graeme Alderson on 11/06/2007

A strong contingent of young British climbers attended the Arco Rock Junior event and came away with some good results.

The Arco Rock Junior is a massive event with over 500 young climbers aged 5-13 talking part in a weekend long festival. Competitions, workshops etc all culminated in a relay (parents and child) race.

The highlights of the competition (from a British persepective) were:

-  Kitty Wallace's fantastic 3rd place in the Female Youth A Category, beating most of the very strong field, including lots of of Austrians - and Austria is the new France that is hard these days.

-and Randy Roby's excellent 8th place in the Male Youth B category.

There were lots of other very credible results from the British contingent see http://www.rockjunior.info for the full results.
