The IFSC Boulder World Cup draws to a close this weekend (24/25 August) with the final round under the glass roof of Munich stadium.

More than 160 athletes from 20 different countries are registered and more than 15,000 spectators are expected.

Good luck to all eight Team GB climbers competing out in Germany: Dave Barrans, James Garden, Jon Partridge, Tom Newman, Shauna Coxsey, Leah Crane, Diane Merrick Gill Peet, and Michaela Tracy.

Fingers crossed for Shauna Coxsey, currently in 3rd place, to finish on a podium high.

Update
Dave Barrans and Shauna Coxsey both did brilliantly to qualify for the semi final on Sunday morning.  Unfortunately, Leah Crane and Gill Peet both narrowly missed making the semi final by the smallest of margins!

In the semi final Dave was placed 18th and Shauna 2nd. The top six progress to the final.

That means, Shauna made the final later on Sunday evening - and a truly nail biting final it turned out to be.  In the end Shauna snatched third place for a well deserved podium place, with Alex Puccio (USA) second and Anna Stohr (Austria) first. Anna Stohr also won the 2013 series.
