What's the latest news from the Bolt Funds around the country? Better Bolts Campaign bolts have been donated, and the drilling has already begun...

Latest news from the regions:

North Wales Bolt Fund 

Donation 2007: 500+ expansion bolts, 850+ resin bolts and belays

New belays at Llanymynech

Llanberis slate: Vivian, Twll Mawr etc

Anglesey (Fedw Fawr)

Coastal limestone (inc Llandulas and Pen Trwyn)

Donation 2008-9: 250 Seawater-series resin bolts and belays

Lower Pen Trwyn: belays and pro bolts on most routes

Yorkshire Bolt Fund

Donation 2007: 300+ expansion bolts, 150+ resin bolts and belays

Trollers Gill, a couple of Gordale routes, and a few routes  at Foredale & Robin Proctors Scar.

Donation 2008-9: 24 belay bolts

Belays at Malham Cove.

Cumbria Bolt Fund

Donation 2007: 60+ bolts and belays

Delivered and all placed. Replacement of old bolts and belays at Hodge Close Quarry.

Donation 2008-9: 300+ bolts and belays

Hodge Close, Chapel Head etc

South Wales Bolt Fund

Donation 2007: 30+ resin bolts and belays

Replacement of old gear at The Gap and Witches Point.

Donation 2008-9: 110 bolts and belays

Taffs Well fixed gear replacement.

Dorset Bolt Fund

Donation 2007: 140+ resin bolts and belays

All delivered. For replacing old bolts at Blackers Hole Quarry and the Promenade.

Donation 2008-9: 46 resin belay bolts

For Battleship Edge & Block.

Peak Bolt Fund

Donation: 260 bolts and belays

For replacing old bolts at the Cornice, Cheedale and the Cornice, WCJ.

Gary Gibson/Peak

Donation 2007: 180+ bolts and belays

All delivered and placed by the Man With The Smoking Drill at Smalldale and Blackdale Halt.

 Donation 2008-9:  170 bolts and belays for Harpur Hill Quarry.

Remember, this is not wholesale BMC sponsored grid-bolting, but replacement of existing fixed equipment which has become dangerous. Read more about the Better Bolts Campaign here.
