With all our staff working from home, we are operating as normal across many areas. However, some aspects of the BMC’s work have changed.

You can still buy BMC Travel Insurance but remember that it will not cover any claim in any way caused by or resulting from Covid-19 claims.

Our online membership is open as normal. But if you’re a new member then we won’t be able to send you a joining pack at the moment.

It’s not currently possible to phone the BMC office, but you can email our staff if you have a specialist question.
If you have an urgent question about any aspect of your BMC membership or insurance, then please email office@thebmc.co.uk. This address is being monitored by BMC staff as normal, although please bear with us as we will be giving priority to the most urgent issues.
Can I go climbing and hill walking?
The BMC and mountain rescue teams advise all climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers to stay in their home area and put all climbing and hill walking on hold.
