Did you know that individual members of the BMC, and members of our affiliated clubs, are able to book and stay at three national huts? Two of these are located in Scotland, and one is at the Roaches in Staffordshire. These iconic and historic buildings are there for you to use and enjoy.
The 3 National Huts are located in great locations for walkers and climbers. Not only are these huts a fantastic resource for the visitor, they are also cemented into the traditions and folklore of our mountaineering history.
Each hut is run by a management committee, with the two Scottish huts jointly funded and administered in partnership with Mountaineering Scotland. BMC members, both club and individual, can book places and check availablity using each huts online booking system.
Bookings can be made up to a year in advance, which may be necessary to grab places during the most sought after weekends, but places are often still available during quieter periods and especially during the week.
