The meeting covered a range of topics including:

  • BMC area news and reports;
  • BMC finance and membership;
  • a review of the 2013-17 BMC Strategic Plan, focussing on the BMC’s work for young people; and
  • the development and implementation of a hill walking strategy within the BMC to meet the needs of walkers.

The meeting also noted the valuable contribution of Craig Harwood (Chair, Huts Advisory Group) to the BMC; Craig had tragically been killed in a climbing accident at Compass Point in Cornwall on 4 September.
