Three Mend Our Mountains-supported projects are part of a public vote to win €30,000. Please spare a few seconds to vote for your favourite.
We are thrilled that three Mend Our Mountains-supported have all made the shortlist for the next round of funding by the European Conservation Association (EOCA): Cader Idris in Snowdonia, Carn Liath in the Cairngorms, and Cut Gate in the Peak District.
The three projects are now part of a public vote, the winner of which will receive a huge cash boost of €30,000 (around £26,000).
We encourage all BMC members and supporters to vote for one of these projects to win the ‘Mountain’ category on the EOCA website here.
The process is very quick and simple, requiring just three clicks and no sign-up process. All you need to do is read the description of each project, decide which one you would like to win, and cast your vote.
This is a fantastic opportunity for at least one Mend Our Mountains project to take a much-needed step towards its target. The overall cost of the repairs needed on each project ranges from £60,000 to £140,000.
EOCA is a charity which brings together businesses and organisations across Europe with the aim of showing that “the outdoor sector and the millions of people who enjoy the great outdoors are active champions for the conservation of nature and wild places.”
The BMC is a member of EOCA.
We want to say a big thanks to every BMC member who continues to support us through the Coronavirus crisis.
From weekly Facebook Lives and GB Climbing home training videos, to our access team working to re-open the crags and fight for your mountain access, we couldn’t do it without you.
