Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowships

Every year the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust awards some 100 Travelling Fellowships to British Citizens throughout the UK. Here's your chance to bag one for yourself.

The Fellowships are open to men and women from all walks of life. One category that may be of particular interest is Adventure and Leaders of Expeditions. Neil Elliot has recently returned from a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to Nepal and Tibet. The aim of his Fellowship was to lead a team of six climbers to the summit of Mount Everest via the North East Ridge to promote outdoor and adventure activities for all and to inspire young people to reach their dreams.

At some point most clubs require additional funding to help them do the things that they want . Whether that might be to set up a programme of instruction, to encourage new novice members; to buy equipment to help members; to improve facilities at the club hut, and so on.
