Wilton quarries up for sale

It appears the Wilton quarries are scheduled to be sold at public auction on 18/10/07 at Manchester United's football ground.

The landowners (United Utilites) are advertising the sale of two plots (018 and 019) of land containing some of Lancashire's best quarried gritstone routes - see the auction advert Here

Naturally, the BMC are concerned with the potential implications of this development and have arranged to meet with a representative of United Utilities on Tuesday 25th September.
