Hills 2 Oceans calls on individuals to get out in their local area and clean up as much litter as possible before it ends up in our waterways and oceans. While out climbing, walking and mountaineering hundreds of members have dedicated their time to cleaning up hills, mountains and crags, their home town, beach and local nature reserve.
This volunteers' week we would like to say a massive THANK YOU to these volunteers, whose hours of work helps to keep the environment litter free and protect wildlife from plastic pollution.
BMC and YHA have teamed up to support community litter picks by providing equipment at local YHAs. If you feel inspired to head out on a pick, find a Hills 2 Oceans hub near you where you can borrow everything you need to get you started.
Below are a series of photographs shared with us by Hills 2 Oceans volunteers. Thank you to those who contributed their photos and their time to this campaign.
