If you’ve got a love for hiking you’d like to share, join us as a Volunteer Walk Leader at the YHA Festival of Walking!
We are seeking groups of experienced hill walkers to lead social walks at 5 locations this September and October.
As a volunteer, you will need to:

Be passionate about hiking and the outdoors
-
Be excited to share this passion with new beginners and support them on their journey

Hold a Mountain Training Qualification suitable for the level of walk you wish to volunteer on, or, be in the consolidation period for a suitable qualification.

Hold an in-date First Aid Certificate
-
Be willing to learn more about the BMC and share a little of what we do with attendees
In return, you will receive:

Volunteer briefing and resources

Travel expenses paid for

Free cuppa
-
Accommodation and meals are available on request

Pre-event briefing
A pre-event briefing and Q&A session took place on Zoom at 18:00 on the 23rd August 2023. The meeting will be recorded and made available to those unable to attend on the day, including for those who signed up after this date.
