Want to get outdoors, save money and travel in a greener fashion? Load up your outdoor trips onto the new ecoclimber website and share a ride!
Ecoclimber, the new website for climbers and walkers, was launched this Saturday (30 May) at the Castle Climbing Centre's eco festival.
The site has been created by BMC member Zara Maung who is an eco-columist for Summit. Zara said: “Ideally it would be great to see climbers and walkers ditching their cars altogether and getting around by public transport. The next best thing is car sharing. The idea is to offer a lift if you have a free space in the car or to find someone with a car who’s going your way and split the petrol money. The result should be greener and cheaper travel to the outdoors for everyone.”
All you need to do is sign up to the site, post your trips and share your lifts.
