Posted by Catherine Flitcroft on 08/03/2022

The BMC would like to know what you think about some of the key proposals that government have put forward to help protect and improve our English National Parks and Areas of Outstanding National Beauty (AONBs) for future generations.

In January this year, government published its response to the ‘Glover’ review which was an independent review (2019) into whether the protections for National Parks and AONBs in England are still fit for purpose.

In order to shape our full response to the public consultation which is currently out (deadline for submissions is 9th April), we have posed 5 questions asking for your thoughts on some of the key questions in this document.

Please take the short survey and help shape our response (survey closes Fri 25th March:

It costs £25 to plant one square metre of sphagnum moss and create a healthy moor. Thanks to you, we’ve raised £30,000 for The Climate Project so far. This will restore 1,200 square meters of sphagnum on our Peak District moors.
