New BMC Associate Membership package launched

Posted by Tina Gardner on 20/11/2006

There’s a new way for outdoor companies and institutions to benefit from the BMC’s work and services. A new Associate Membership package was launched at the Kendal Mountain Festival, catering for retailers, manufacturers, distributors, outdoor centres, schools, colleges, mountain rescue and climbing walls.

Benefits of Associate Membership include use of BMC Associate Member logo, company promotion to BMC members, discount on bulk purchases, membership benefits for ten employees and much more.By getting involved, you will be investing in the wide-ranging work the BMC undertakes for climbers, hil walkers and mountaineers in England and Wales, including improving access to the countryside, protecting upland habitats, promoting mountain safety and much more.

Those already onboard include Edale YHA, Bristol Climbing Centre, Peglers and the Outdoor Industries Association.

Sir Chris Bonington said “The BMC is going from strength to strength – the new BMC Associates initiative offers some great new opportunities – I’d thoroughly recommend anyone linked with climbing, hill walking and the outdoor industry to think seriously about getting involved.”
