Leo Houlding on TV

The new Virgin1 TV series Take Me To The Edge fronted by top climber Leo Houlding starts this Sunday (31 August) at 8pm.

Take Me To The Edge is a six-part series investigating global rites of passage while pushing the limits of human endurance.  Find out more and watch a preview here.

Radio-wise, for those who missed it the first time around, you can listen to Andy Cave's underground expedition to the Thirlmere Aqueduct on Radio 4 listen again.

In the printed press, there have been a number of articles about the recent incidents on K2 and Mont Blanc, the most recent of which are:

23 August 2009 - The Guardian - Catastrophe on K2

27 August 2009 - The Independent - K2 "the real story" death or glory

Outdoorsmagic gives its analysis of the coverage here.

28 August 2009 - Times2 - How 30,000 climbers a year are destroying Mont Blanc

There is a discussion thread about the latter article at UKClimbing.com.
