Climbers are reminded that all cliffs on the south (Cheddar Caves & Gorge) side of the Gorge are closed to climbing from 1 July.
In the case of ‘summer season’ routes the closure runs until 5 September inclusive. For ‘winter season’ routes the closure extends to 1 October inclusive.
It is still possible to climb in Cheddar Gorge during the summer months. The following cliffs on the north (National Trust) side of the Gorge are open for climbing all year:

Easter Island
Heart Leaf Bluff
Nameless Bay – Lower Tier and Upper Tier (left)
French Pinnacle
The Wave
