The shortlist for the Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature 2009 has been announced.
The judges for 2009, Phil Bartlett (chair), Kym Martindale and Ian Smith, have produced the following shortlist in alphabetical order:

The winner will be announced at a reception, supported by the BMC, on the afternoon of Friday 20 November at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, during the Kendal Mountain Festival.
