There’s been a buzz coming from BMC TV. Imagine the sound of bare feet rasping over grit, cold water scraping the lungs, the sarcastic sigh of a 92 year-wise mountain woman considering another stupid question. This is the sound of Operation Moffat.

What's Operation Moffat? Well, it's an adventure film about an old lady, two average climbers and wet bits of the British countryside; this movie won seven international film awards and is coming to a screen near you. Now 92, Gwen Moffat was the first British female Mountain Guide, wild, determined, possessing a stinging wit and a gift for intimidating, taciturn one-liners: "I don’t think I’ve ever been frightened".
In this BMC TV production, Jen Randall and Claire Carter explore Gwen’s stomping grounds, from North Wales to the Isle of Skye in the hope of finding both adventures and the answers to some of life’s most pressing questions: Will Welsh-lake brain-freeze kill you? Are adventures worth more than jobs? What happens if you put a camera in a plastic bag and shove it in a Scottish pond? Will we miss the mountains when we can no longer walk in them?
To find out what the fuss is about, visit Vimeo and download your twenty minutes of Wild Mountain Buzz now, all for less than £10.
We promise you will be inspired to get out there, get wet, and get Gwen’s book – Space Below My Feet at the BMC Shop for only £12.99, or £11.69 if you're a BMC member!
