BMC National Council: September 2012 meeting

Plas y Brenin, venue for the September 2012 National Council meeting.

The 32nd meeting of the BMC National Council took place on Sunday 23 September at Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre in Capel Curig. A summary of the meeting is available to download.

 

The meeting covered a range of topics, including:

  • reports of local BMC Area issues, meetings and events;
  • a presentation by members of the GB Ski Mountaineering Team;
  • an update on the 2013-17 Sport England funding application;
  • BMC membership and finance;
  • a recruitment drive for new members of the BMC’s specialist committees;
  • and BMC policy on drilled fixed equipment and wind farms.
